Introduction
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) serves as an institutional mechanism for systematic quality enhancement and continuous improvement. At Major SD Singh University, the IQAC functions as a coordinating and facilitating mechanism for quality-related initiatives across academic, research, administrative and student-support domains.
The IQAC will work towards developing quality benchmarks, facilitating quality initiatives, strengthening institutional documentation, promoting stakeholder participation and supporting evidence-based institutional planning and decision-making. The IQAC will also coordinate quality-related activities and promote the adoption and dissemination of effective practices across the University.
The structure follows the broad functions commonly reflected in Indian IQAC frameworks, including quality benchmarks, learner-centric practices, stakeholder feedback, documentation, institutional databases, quality culture and AQAR preparation.

- Support accreditation, ranking and institutional reporting processes through reliable data and evidence.
Objectives of IQAC
The objectives of IQAC at MSDSU are structured to maintain top-tier educational standards:
Develop quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities.
Promote a learner-centric environment and continuous improvement.
Encourage Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and faculty maturation.
Promote research, innovation, entrepreneurship and knowledge creation.
Develop systematic mechanisms for stakeholder feedback and audits.
Support NAAC, NIRF, and other accreditation/ranking processes.
Functions of IQAC
8.1 Quality Benchmarks
Develop and periodically review quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities.
8.2 Academic Quality
Facilitate initiatives for improving teaching, learning, curriculum delivery, evaluation and student support.
8.3 Faculty Development
Coordinate and promote FDPs, workshops, training programmes and professional-development initiatives.
8.4 Research & Innovation
Encourage research quality, publications, intellectual property, innovation and entrepreneurship.
8.5 Feedback & Audits
Coordinate stakeholder-feedback mechanisms and facilitate academic, administrative quality audits.
